You can customise the theme, how images and profile pictures are displayed on your timeline and more. The developers claim more features are on the way though, so this could change in future. It can do quite a bit stream tweets, sign into several accounts at once, and quickly delete and edit tweets with errors (which comes in handy quite often!) just to name a few features. What’s on offer is admittedly similar to that offered by Tweetbot, although there are a few ommissions from the list. There really is a lot here for power users to get their teeth into.įollowing a successful crowdfunding campaign with over $100,000 raised, Twitterrific is back from the dead. The original Twitterrific was launched way back in 2007, and Iconfactory wanted the design to reflect this while providing a feature-set for 2018 users. If you’ve been living mostly in your IDE for a long time, its time to take a peek over the fence and look at some of the great standalone tools available. ![]() Tweet-streaming isn’t exclusive to Tweetbot, but it’s one of few apps that offers a ‘pin to the top’ feature to always display the latest tweets as they appear. IDEs are great, but they aren’t the only thing you should have in your arsenal when developing on a Mac. The fun never stops Furthermore, this app is completely free, without any ads and doesn't add any watermarks to your memes. Download it now and start creating your own memes and sharing them with your friends. Tweetbot also offers integration with an impressive number of third-party services such as Bitly, Instapaper, Pocket and Readability, allowing you to save stories to read at a later date, shorten URLs and more. Meme Generator is the easiest way to generate memes in your computer. It boasts iCloud sync support between the iOS and macOS apps, allowing you to pick up where you left off on either device, and you can customise notifications on a per-account basis. Our favourite feature breaks down your Twitter engagement on a day-by-day basis, displaying the number of retweets/faves/follows/mentions in a handy graph, as well as providing a handy tab that displays all interaction, not just replies to tweets. Beyond the gorgeous transparent panels and redesigned profile pages, it offers a number of features for power users. Tweetbot for Mac delivers, in our opinion, the tidiest Twitter experience available right now, and that includes the official Twitter website. At £9.99, it’s not exactly a throwaway price, although we still don’t think that’s excessive for a detailed, beautifully designed Mac app like this. ![]()

Khoi Vinh is the design director for one of the world’s most popular websites, The New York Times. It may not be the best way, but it makes sense to me because I associate certain aesthetics with particular designers and foundries. I started organizing my fonts by foundry back when I was in school and have done so ever since. At the time, I had grown tired with Suitcase's and ATM's constant problems and crashes, and Fontbook's inability to handle more than casual use. I've been using Linotype's FontExplorer X since it came out five years ago and haven't looked back. Recently, Jason shared a list of his favorite typefaces in FontShop’s Designer Spotlight, which contains a mix of classics ( Garamond, News Gothic) and new faces ( Freight, Skolar). For the past several years I had been using FontAgent Pro by Insider Software (Mac & PC, $99.95 USD)- don’t ask me why-and before that I relied on the now-defunct Adobe Type Manager Deluxe. Make sure that the circle is already selected (to take over the styling yet again), and hold Shift while drawing to constrain the movement. Switch to the Line tool with L and draw a vertical one 3 pixels in length above the circle. This time, however, we need a centered border (you will see why later). With the cloud still selected, this will take over the styling. Create another circle with a 12-pixel diameter outside of the other big circle. (Click to play video)Ĭomplete the cloud by giving it a proper name. After you have “merged” the shapes of the cloud, apply a white border. Figure 3: The “Merge” function combines multiple elements into a single shape but still allows you to modify them individually. Remember that you can alter the position of the border in the “Advanced stroke settings.” Now it will become immediately apparent what the Merge function has done to the shapes. With the “Compound Shape” group selected, change from a fill to a white inside border with 1.5 pixel thickness. The lesser used types here are “Intersect” and “Difference,” which just show the part where the shapes overlay or the exact opposite, respectively. Have a look at “Boolean” in the Inspector to perform this change. ![]() It’s even possible to adapt the type of merge function - for example, if you want to cut the right-most circle from the other shapes (“Subtract,” the third option). The advantage here is that you can expand the “Compound Shape” group in the Layers panel and still move the elements individually. Select the three shapes and click on “Merge” in the toolbar this will combine everything into a single form and allow us to assign a border in its entirety later on (figure 3). However, we want an outline instead of a solid fill, so we’ll need to bring the “Merge” function into play (also called Boolean operations in other applications, such as Sketch). Looks like a cloud already! Figure 2: The cloud consists of a rectangle with fully rounded corners and two circles. Clone it with Shift + Command + D (or, on Windows and Linux, Shift + Control + D), resize it to 12 × 12 in the Inspector, and offset it 10 pixels to the right and 3 pixels to the bottom. Now add an ellipse ( E) above the rectangle that is 15 × 15 pixels in size, that is away 3 pixels from the left edge of the rectangle and that juts out 7 pixels at the top. That’s also the style you can use for the rectangle for now. This is important for when we add new shapes later: If another element is already selected, then all of its properties will be taken over if nothing is selected, then the new element will be drawn with a default gray fill and no border. Note: Before drawing the rectangle, make sure that the circle isn’t selected or else it will take over all of the properties, including the shared style. If you intend to zoom in with Command + + instead, then select the shape beforehand so that Gravit Designer takes it as a reference when zooming and zooms to its center. Before we continue, use the zoom function with Z to zoom into the rectangle so that it’s easier to work on the following steps. ![]() Because aligning the various parts of the icon to the grid wouldn’t make sense, switch it off for now with Alt + Command + G (on Windows and Linux, Alt + Control + G). Move it to “32” (X) and “368” (Y) in the “Position” fields in the Inspector.īecause we want to reuse this style for other shapes, we will create a new “Shared Style.” This allows you to sync all styling properties between various layers and to update changes with a click.
